Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Patronises UTB’s 21st Graduation Ceremony
Manama: Under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Highness Shaikh Faisal bin Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa attended the 21st graduation ceremony of the University of Technology Bahrain (UTB).
The ceremony marked the successful completion of academic programmes by graduating students and highlighted UTB’s growing role in higher education, particularly in preparing qualified national cadres to support the Kingdom of Bahrain’s sustainable development goals.
Hesham Al Rayes, Chairman of the Board of Directors of UTB and Chief Executive Officer of GFH Financial Group, expressed his appreciation for the continued support extended by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to the education sector and the university. He also thanked His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad and His Highness Shaikh Faisal bin Khalid bin Hamad, noting that their patronage has played a vital role in UTB’s development and progress toward achieving advanced academic standards and global competitiveness.
Al Rayes emphasised the university’s ongoing efforts to enhance academic programmes, strengthen teaching quality, and build strategic local and international partnerships to ensure graduates are well prepared to meet labour market needs.
Dr Hassan Ali Al Mulla, President of UTB, said that the graduation of this cohort represents an important milestone in the university’s journey, reflecting advancements in infrastructure, academic offerings, and modern teaching methodologies. He added that UTB continues to expand its global presence by attracting international students and academic talent.
